Peanut Katli


The peanuts are also known as the groundnut. Peanuts are similar in taste and nutritional profile to tree nuts, such as walnuts and almonds, and as a culinary nut are often served in similar ways in Western cuisines.
              Peanuts are as popular as they are healthy. Peanuts contain a number of healthy nutrients such as magnesium, niacin, copper, oleic acid, and various antioxidants. They may reduce the risk of both heart disease and gallstones. Peanuts are a high-calorie food so should not be eaten in excess.
       Peanut Katli is a delicious Indian sweet. Peanut katli is an easy, quick and healthy sweet and made by roasted peanuts and Sugar. It can be stored for 10 to 15 days and can be also eat in fast.


Ingredients: 
1 cup peanuts
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
2 tbsp unsalted butter or ghee

Recipe:
In a pan dry roast peanut on low flame and keep stirring so that peanuts gets roasted uniformly and do not burn.
Once the peanuts starts to separate it's skin, turn off the flame and cool completely and peel of the skin and blend it.
Sieve the peanut powder before adding to avoid any pieces of peanut.
In a pan add sugar and water make sugar syrup on medium flame, stir and boil on medium flame till you reach on string consistency.
Now add in powdered peanut powder and stir continuously on low flame, the mixture forms a paste and start to thicken.
Once the mixture separates from pan and add ghee or butter.
Mix well till the mixture forms a thick paste.
Switch off the flame and grease the butter paper with ghee. Allow it to cool 5 to 10 minutes.
Transfer the peanut dough on to the butter paper.
Grease your hand with little ghee and knead 30 seconds. Be careful as the dough will be very hot.
Once you get smooth dough, cover with butter paper and roll slightly thick and live it for 3 to 4 hour or it’s completely cool.
After that cut the dough into diamond shape or any shape.
Roast peanut

 syrup cook 3  to 4 min

add in powdered peanut powder and stir continuously on low flame
      
Once the mixture separates from pan and add ghee

make a thick paste

grease the butter paper with ghee

Transfer the peanut dough on to the butter paper and roll it 1/2 cm or 1 cm

After that cut into diamond shape or any shape.

 Enjoy tasty tasty peanut katli with your family and friends
